For over 25 years, Cover New York has brought students to New York City to compliment their educations and has arranged unique tours for other groups.

Hope Cohen Pingree spent 21 years in the fashion industry prior to becoming an owner of Cover New York. She began her career in product development and production at Ann Taylor, and went on to join Associated Merchandising Company, Gap and Polo Ralph Lauren, where she was Vice President of Product Licensing. After leaving the fashion world, Hope started Pingree Gallery & Design, an art consulting business specializing in contemporary photography. Currently living in Brooklyn with her husband and teen-age daughter, Hope has access to all of her passions:  fashion, art theater and design…and great yoga classes.

Barbara Knapp has been a part of the New York fashion and design world since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design. Working in New York City and abroad, Barbara has been involved in product development, production and sourcing roles for small start-ups to major designers; Ralph Lauren, Nili Lotan and The Row. She has taught courses at FIT and design programs at the Cooper Hewitt. Barbara is also the founder of twenty-five words, a bespoke stationery and packaging company.
